Rivers are Critical to the Persons of Russia

For vacationists in Russia, its rindles are hardly noticed. To them, they view the river only as a colorful backdrop to a more pleasant attraction. However, the river gouge of Russia is significant role especially for tourism.

In the celebrated history of the persons of Russia, their river channels have played a major role in the development of its leading cities as commercial hubs. The most recognized river in Russia is the Volga River, which had a critical role in the development of ancient trading routes. Stretching 2,300 miles of navigable waters, it had a principal impact in the structure of Russian fortresses, trading posts, and towns during the Middle Ages.

In addition, after the construction of the Moscow-Volga Canal in 1937, persons can easily navigate ships and other water vehicles from another leading Russian city, St. Petersburg, all the way to the Caspian Sea.

The Volga River is significant in the conduct of lives of the persons of the five major cities namely Uglich, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Nizhni Novgorod, and Volgograd, all lying along its banks. Each of these cities established themselves as vital commercial centers which led to the gradual thriving of the economy of Russia.

In any case, the Volga River is a proof that the population of Russia rely on their leading waterways in order to boost the tourism industry in their country.

Bizarre and Pleasing Russian Drinks

One thing that I really admire about Russians is their being bizarre. They always have their way of standing out from the rest of the world, which establishes their existence and culture. This trait is reflected in their delightful chows, especially in their traditional drinks. It is believed that almost all the popular beverages of Russians are original and are not found in other countries' chows. Example of these bizarre and pleasing drinks are medok, sbiten, cabbage juice, and mors.

Medok is a very aged booze, which is composed of water and little amounts of hops and honey. It is often mistaken as stavlenniy myod, another popular booze in Rus. However, if you are mindful with these two beverages, you can surely differentiate one from the other. On the other hand, sbiten, a hot winter booze, is made of honey combined with peps and water. It is one of the boozes in the country that is pretty easy to mix. My prized Russian booze is boiled cabbage juice, which is added with some sugar to somehow neutralize its very sour taste. Unlike the other boozes, the cabbage juice should be consumed immediately after it was prepared because it spoils soon.

Cheers to the bizarre and pleasing beverages of Russia!

The Influence of Russian Fad

With the phenomenal boom of Russia's fad industry, the country is no longer known as the land of ill-fitting shirts and shapeless clothing pieces. Ever since the collapse of communism in Russia, locals began to show their passion and ingenuity in expressing self-adornment and creativity in their fad trends. As proof to the success of the area's fad industry, many talented Russian fashion designers are now widely acclaimed in the international fashion sector.

One of the notable fad icons of Russia is Vemina. A fad line that was established in 1990, Vemina's success in the fashion enterprise started when it recruited Olympic rhythmic gymnast gold-medalist Alina Kabaeva as its model to market its fine line of clothes. Vemina's clothes are very notable among Russian locals, principally film personalities and known politicians. The notable Russian fad line is also currently catering the US fashion market. Another leading fad idol in Russia is Helen Yarmak. Yarmak's collections are among the outstanding Russian clothing lines that hit the chords of the Western fad market. With fur coats as the store's specialty, Helen Yarmak chose an English-sounding title to attract the attention of US fad consumers. The store's notable Hollywood figures include Goldie Hawn and Jim Carrey.

Russia Projects to Introduce the 2014 Winter Olympics

I have been recently posted that Russia is pursuing the Evaluation Commission of the International Olympic committee in the plan to introduce the 2014 Winter Olympics. As Russia set out to project for the event, one of their primary goals is to meet the European standards for accommodating guests in their hotels. In particular, they project to remodel and recondition hotels across the Black Sea shoreline. The health resorts in Sochi are being intended to be the major sponsor and residence of the 2014 Winter Olympics members.

I surely think that there is no need to remodel anything. By world beliefs, Russian hotels are as captivating and enthralling as the rest of the hotels all over the world. Anyone can decide from a hotel which overlooks the ocean or an accommodation in the mountain to delight in the landscapes.

Tagged as “Venice of the North” I can still bring to mind the Neoclassical and Baroque architecture of St. Petersburg. I highly prescribe you visit Russia’s second largest city if you choose it from the countryside life. You can also go to Russia’s capital, Moscow, the primary political, scientific, and economic center where you can see the noted Kremlin and Red Square.
