The Magnificent And Outstanding Architecture Of Russia

Upon arriving in Russia, the first thing that a journeyer would notice is the region's amazing architectural structures. From magnificent cathedrals to elegant yet run-down castles along the region, Russia is still able to show just how impressive their realm was before it fell.

Walking outside one day, I happened to glimpse an art student engrossed with the final touches of his work. Naturally, it was of the Great Kremlin Palace, one of the great architectural triumphs of Russia. A mate of mine once said that when ourneyers arrive in Russia, they have the need to take a picture, video, or make a sketch of the historic landmarks of this country. This is of no wonder, since the architectural styles of Russia has been assimilated in many buildings around the world.

The Russians are clearly glad of their heritage; taking pains to preserve them. Thus, I marvel at their fidelity. Unlike in other regions, the Russians are distressed about their historic buildings and they want the next generations to still see them. The way that they are handling things now, I'm sure that the next time I return, these magnificent buildings and shrines will still remain. As a testament to the lifestyle and yesteryear of Russia, these man-made wonders say a lot about the people themselves.

Russia's Fashion Market Materializes From The Soviet Era

During the Soviet days, Russia's fashion scene was only headed by two designers, Valentin Yudashkin and Vyacheslav Zaitsev. In a mode of better speaking, the previous statement was very politically erroneous. The two designers were actually directed by the Soviet government just so they can attest to the world that Russia's fashion industry can keep up with the rest of the world.

Today however, new workmanship and designers have materialized. Just last year, in affiliation with the rest of Eastern European countries, Russia's first Fashion Week was unveiled in Gorky Park. To the granting of everyone who came and collaborated, it was a huge success. You cannot positively confide to yourself that you want to go to Russia to witness the event, and I certainly would not. Russia still has its Communist cloud draping it.

Anyway, it really is a good thing that new, though not young, designers are willing and ardent to recreate the fashion industry in Russia. Two of the most ingenious minds in Russia's fashion market today are Nina Neretina and Donis Pupis. With a million ideas, both of them, as well as the house designers for Nina&Donis, are anxious that they can awoke the Russian's mode of dressing.

A Restful Retreat For The Worn Traveler In Moscow

As a first-time vacationer in Russia, I confess to have been terrified of the unknown. Without any important knowledge about the said region to save my life, I was surprised and ecstatic to see a Holiday Inn in Russia! Though not exactly my favorite apartment in the world, Russia's Holiday Inn is definitely a excellent place to stay in.

Built back in 2005, this four star apartment is near Moscow, so it was fairly easy for me to go around the different supermarkets without worrying that I would get lost. However, staying indoors was also is also an option since the apartment displays amenities and services that can keep boredom at bay. Every room in the apartment has cable TV, telephone, and Internet access so you don't have to be troubled about losing touch with what's happening in the world. The Holiday Inn also displays a restaurant and a bistro for those who want to eat indoors. During my stay, most of the clients who were there were businessmen and single vacationers who want to be in some place quiet and hidden to rest. Of course, the Holiday Inn also caters to families and foreign and local tourists who are on a time off in Russia.
