Delectable Russian Salad with Luscious Ingredients

Many things can be said about Russia -- there's the common theory about the mafia and the communist regime in the country. However, despite the tedious political struggles, Russia's dish can only prove to be a "reliever" since it can truly offer a downright simplicity in preparing a delicious meal. Compared to the French and the Italian dishes, Russia's cuisine hardly boast of any delicate detail in food preparation.

The Russian cooking secret lies in simply using all available ingredients and combining them to come up with a combination of mouthwatering flavors. The Russian dish is not only after the mouthwatering taste, but is also more concerned about fitness and nutrition. With this prominent notion, salads hold a fine spot in the Russian dining table. Salads in Russia are not only famous fusions of green leafy vegetables because fish, eggs, meat, and beef are also some of their regular ingredients.

A significant example of a regular serving of a Russian salad is the "Abzhorka", also known as the "Food Lover". In this local treat, roasted onions are merged with boiled beef sirloin, pickles, and carrots, all of which are cut into thinner stripes. The "Abzhorka" is seasoned with salt and mayonnaise to taste, though what could also be a fine preparation variation thereof is to stir two tablespoons of water, vinegar, and olive oil to the mayonnaise for an added twist.
